Forbes magazine (Chinese edition) on September 22 announced a list of 100 prominent stars in the Chinese entertainment industry, including celebrities in the fields of music, cinema, television, fashion, and sports.

Topping the list this year is Fan Bingbing. Last year, she won many awards for the film I Am Not Pan Jinlian. Forbes said this year's top 10 list shows the rise of a new generation of idols, including Yang Mi, Zhao Liying, Lu Han, Yang Yang, Angelababy, and Kris Wu. One-third of the list is made up of people under 30 years old. Among them, actors Liu Haoran, Wu Lei, and Guan Xiaotong are under 21 years old.

The statistics are based on the stars' income, appearance frequency, and influence, from July 2016 to June this year. "Income directly reflects the stars' commercial value and their work situation over the past year," the newspaper wrote.
