10 people injured in scaffolding collapse of Vinh City Northern Bus Station project

(Baonghean.vn) - While pouring concrete for the roof of the Northern Bus Station project in Nghi Kim commune (Vinh city), the scaffolding suddenly collapsed, injuring 10 people and requiring hospitalization.

As of the afternoon of November 26, doctors at Nghe An General Hospital and Nghe An General Hospital 115 were still actively treating patients who were victims of the scaffolding collapse at the Vinh City Northern Bus Station Project.

Initial information, at around 5:00 p.m. on November 25, a group of workers were pouring concrete on the roof of the Vinh City Northern Bus Station Project in Nghi Kim Commune, Vinh City when the scaffolding suddenly collapsed.

The incident caused 10 people to be hospitalized at Nghe An General Hospital 115 for emergency treatment. Most of the victims suffered multiple injuries, including injuries to the shoulders, spine, arms, jaw, chest, etc.

After receiving initial first aid, one victim, Mr. Nguyen Van De, who suffered a spinal injury, was transferred to Hanoi for treatment. The rest are being actively treated at two hospitals, with no life-threatening injuries.

According to our observations on the afternoon of November 26, the area where the accident occurred was under construction, the scaffolding was assembled with many bamboo poles. Part of the concrete slab collapsed after the incident. The scene was sealed off for investigation.

It is known that the Vinh City Northern Bus Station project is built on an area of ​​nearly 4 hectares, with a total investment of more than 273 billion VND, and was started in September 2012 by Nghe An Bus Station Joint Stock Company as the investor and constructed by ANB Service Company Limited, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.
