10 people who blocked traffic causing traffic jam in Phan Ri Cua received sentences
Previously, Pham Sang and a group of young men incited people to block vehicles on National Highway 1, causing traffic congestion in Binh Thuan province for more than 15 hours.
On July 23, Tuy Phong District People's Court (Binh Thuan) sentenced Pham Sang (26 years old) to 3 years and 6 months in prison for the crime ofDisturbing public order. With the same charge, 9 other defendants were sentenced from 2 years to 3 years and 6 months in prison.
This is the second trial involving dozens of people causing trouble, vandalism and resisting law enforcement officers in Binh Thuan on June 10 and 11.

According to the indictment, on the morning of June 10, hundreds of people from Phan Ri Cua town, Tuy Phong district gathered on National Highway 1 in the area of Cau Nam, causing a long traffic jam. Police were mobilized to maintain order and disperse the crowd so that the national highway could be cleared.
However, Sang and many other defendants stood up to shout and hold flags to incite people to continue blocking vehicles and resisting the authorities. They did not stop there, they threw many hard objects at the authorities, smashed and damaged 4 motorbikes and official cars, and injured many police officers.
In court,The defendants all admitted their crimes and asked the jury to reduce their sentences so they could return to their families soon. However, considering that the incident had seriously affected the national arterial road and social security, the jury sentenced them to the above sentence.
