10 people were arrested for fighting on the walking street

According to the investigation, on the night of August 30, Huynh Xuan Vinh (23 years old) and Nguyen Van Dung and 6 friends were drinking at restaurant 75 when they got into a conflict with a group of customers at restaurant 73 Bui Vien.

Nguyen Thi Nga (an employee of 73 Bui Vien restaurant) reminded Vinh, causing a fight between the two sides. Nga's colleague, Nguyen Thi Giau, immediately brought a machete from inside the restaurant, along with many people carrying stainless steel bats, tables and chairs... to attack Vinh's group. A moment later, about 5 more young men appeared with baseball bats and iron rods and continued to chase and beat Vinh's group, injuring many people.

The incident caused chaos on the walking street, many tourists panicked and ran away, but some people also stood by and watched and recorded.

Police seized many exhibits at the scene. From security cameras and clips spread online, District 1 Police summoned dozens of people involved, determined the violations. "Someone was seriously injured, the incident caused panic among many tourists, we will handle it firmly," said the investigating officer.
