10 principles of teaching children that the more you read, the more you understand

The following 10 golden principles in child-rearing were compiled by two educators who laid the foundation for modern education, Maria Montessori and Anton Makarenko. Their contributions have been recognized by UNESCO.

1. Behavior plays an important role in educating children.

Parents should not think that they can only educate their children by words when teaching or asking them to do something. In fact, children always learn from everything around them, even when you do not intend to guide and teach them.

Children will learn from everyone, especially their parents, from how they dress, communicate with others, creativity, how you face things in life, your manner of speaking and laughing, etc.

If you are a person who behaves uncivilized, often drinks alcohol, or even insults your mother or people around you, you are an ugly example for your children to follow.

2. Education must be practical, sincere and serious.

Raising a child requires ensuring all three of the above factors. Being a serious parent does not mean that you often get angry and scold your child. Parents need to raise their children sincerely based on their family's specific conditions.

3. Parents should clearly define what they expect from their children.

You should clearly define what you expect from your child to consider and find out what is right and what is wrong in raising your child. Everyone can make mistakes, even if you love and want to do everything best for your child. Find out the reason clearly and find the solution to raise your child best.

4. Need to care and closely monitor children

Children always need their own space to freely do what they want. However, they are not capable of distinguishing all the dangers around them. Therefore, parents need to care and always spend time to teach and guide their children to explore the world safely.

5. The key to education is organization.

Raising a child requires preparation and adherence to established rules, from the smallest things. Therefore, parents should apply lessons and use time in an organized manner instead of spending too much time without achieving many results.

6. Helping children is a joy, not a responsibility

Helping children is necessary, but do not overprotect them so that they feel bored and annoyed. In many cases, children need to learn to overcome difficulties and challenges, no matter how complicated or difficult they are.

Instead of always doing it for their children, parents should guide and model for their children to learn and then follow. This not only trains skills, but also helps children gain confidence in their own abilities.

7. Do not overuse praise or blame

Do not praise children in front of them, because this makes them feel conceited and less likely to try. Similarly, parents should not scold or punish their children often, especially in front of others, which makes children feel angry and rebellious.

The best way is to praise your child's efforts as well as point out mistakes so that he can correct them. This will encourage him to continue to strive harder.

8. Children need to be loved to understand their own worth.

The best way to teach children to respect themselves and share with others is to give them love. Children who grow up in the love of their parents and those around them will easily become more tolerant and compassionate when they grow up.

9. Never think you have sacrificed everything for your children.

Parents often complain that they have sacrificed everything and given their children the best. This is absolutely not right, because it has implicitly become a burden, a debt for their children.

Parents should live for themselves first and spread happiness to their children.

10. We cannot teach children to be happy, but we can guide them how to be happy.

Love and happiness are different for each person. Therefore, parents should help children realize the value of happiness in their own way, instead of comparing and being jealous of others.
