1.Budget revenue increased rapidly, contributing to macroeconomic stability in the area, estimated at 6,310.5 billion VND, equivalent to 132.6% of the projected figure, an increase of 25.95% compared to 2010 revenue, the highest in the North Central region and ranking 13th nationwide.
2.Investment promotion and foreign economic activities yielded many outstanding results. The "Nghe An - Integration and Development" seminar and the "North Central Region Investment Promotion Conference" were successfully and impressively organized. 71 investment projects were attracted (nearly 18 trillion VND). Many large projects were signed with donors such as the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
3.Agriculture enjoyed a bumper harvest across the board, with food production reaching nearly 1.2 million tons (the highest ever).
4.Many effective economic models have been developed and are being replicated, especially in the Mekong Delta region, with 40 models generating high economic value.
5.Goods import and export turnover achieved positive results, estimated at 350 million USD for the whole year, of which exports are estimated at 230.98 million USD, an increase of 28.45%.
6.Trade activities continued to grow strongly, with total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue estimated at VND 34,679 billion, an increase of 25.29% compared to the same period last year.
7.The school's educational achievements are among the top in the country, with 47% of schools meeting national standards, 21,000 students passing university and college entrance exams (including 83 students scoring 27 points or higher, and 6 valedictorians), 82 national outstanding students, 2 Bronze Medals at the Asian Physics Olympiad, 1 Gold Medal, and 1 Silver Medal at the World Physics Olympiad.
8.The quality of medical examination and treatment, and public health care, has been well implemented at all levels. The percentage of communes meeting national health standards reached 85% (exceeding the plan by 5%); the number of hospital beds reached 18.1 beds per 10,000 people (plan: 17 beds).
9.The fields of employment and social security have been prioritized and implemented effectively, with an estimated 36,500 jobs created throughout the year (compared to the planned 34,000). The Law on Unemployment Insurance and other social policies, including policies for people with meritorious service, have been implemented well.
10.Both grassroots and high-performance sports have achieved many successes. The most notable event was the Song Lam Nghe An football team winning their second V.League championship and their fourth National Super Cup, becoming the first Vietnamese club to enter the top 300 best clubs in the world in 2011, ranking 261st.

1. Economic indicators:
- Provincial GDP growth rate: 10.5% - 11.5%.
- Growth rate of agricultural, forestry, and fisheries production value: 4.5% - 5%.
- The growth rate of industrial and construction output increased by 16% - 17%.
(In which the rate of industrial production growth is 17% - 18%).
- Growth rate of service sector output: 10.5% - 11.5%.
- Economic structure: agriculture, forestry, and fisheries approximately 25%; industry and construction approximately 37%; services approximately 38%.
- Budget revenue reached 6,500 billion VND.
- Total export value: 400 - 450 million USD.
- Total investment for social development: 30,000 billion VND.
2. Social indicators:
- Decrease in birth rate: 0.4% - 0.5%.
- Poverty rate: 17.35%.
- The rate of malnutrition among children under 5 years old is 19.6%.
