10 billion VND to restore Dong Yen pagoda
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 12, at Dong Yen Pagoda, Quynh Thuan Commune (Quynh Luu), the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the pagoda's ancestral house, model house, and monk house took place.
Dong Yen Pagoda was built in the 15th century, all items are degraded, no longer intact. On June 11, 2015, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 2382/QD.UBND-XD allowing survey to select location, make detailed planning for construction and restoration of the pagoda.

According to the plan, the land area for the project to build and restore the pagoda is 1,500m2.2 The pagoda was newly built according to the space, layout and architecture of traditional Vietnamese pagodas, including the following items: Tam quan gate, corridor system, Tam bao, ancestral shrine, model house, monk house, 9m high ancestral tower, vegetable garden and fruit trees... The construction cost is about 10 billion VND, from socialized sources.

After being restored, Dong Yen Pagoda will be a cultural, spiritual and tourist destination within the overall planning for Quynh beach tourism development, meeting the cultural and sightseeing needs of the people and tourists from all over.
