100% of Vietnamese students won prizes at the World Math Competition
At the 8th World Mathematics Team Championship (WMTC) held in Thailand, 19 secondary school students all won gold medals.
The Vietnamese delegation consisted of 38 contestants from Giang Vo Secondary School, Cau Giay Secondary School and a primary school in Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi. The delegation had 19 secondary school students who all won gold medals, including 8 students from Giang Vo Secondary School.
The best student in the whole competition was Tran Gia Bao (class 9A1, Giang Vo Secondary School, Ba Dinh) who won the secondary school level. Vu Minh Chau (class 5E, Tran Quoc Toan Primary School, Hoan Kiem) won the primary school level.

The World Mathematics Team Championship (WMTC) has been held annually between countries and territories around the world since 2010. From the first year, the competition attracted 73 teams from 11 countries and territories to participate at 3 levels: primary, secondary and high school.
This year, the competition took place from November 9-11, with the award ceremony held on the evening of November 12 in Thailand. The competition attracted 134 teams from 21 countries and territories including the US, China, Vietnam, Korea, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, etc.
