(Baonghean.vn) - According to the latest storm forecast, Dien Chau district has actively urged fishing boats at sea to return to anchor.Safety at Lach Van fishing port.

Fisherman Tran Van Quang, owner of a fishing boat in Dien Ngoc commune, Dien Chau district, said: "After receiving information about the storm affecting Nghe An province, we quickly brought our boats back to the dock to anchor and secure them; we used large ropes to tie them tightly to concrete pillars and hung rubber tires on both sides of the boat to prevent collisions in strong winds."
Mr. Le The Hieu, Head of the Agriculture Department of Dien Chau district, added: "The fishing industry in Dien Chau district is characterized by mainly near-shore fishing using trawling methods, so when they receive information calling for them to return to shelter, the boats return very quickly."
As of the morning of September 14th, 100% of the boats from Dien Chau had safely docked at Lach Van. The highest concentration of boats was in the communes of Dien Ngoc, Dien Bich, Dien Thinh, and Dien Hai.

Previously, starting on September 12th, the District People's Committee directly contacted communes with fishing boats, requesting fishermen to return home, proactively coordinate with border guard forces to count and directly contact vessels in operation, and quickly implement safe storm shelter activities.
During the period of mooring at the dock, the People's Committees of the communes will increase their presence at the docks to inspect and require fishermen to properly implement storm prevention measures such as mooring vessels according to regulations and using necessary equipment to minimize collisions on the vessels.
