Eleven countries participate in maritime anti-piracy exercises.
THX reported on May 14th that the Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN) announced that naval officials from around the world had gathered in the country to participate in the international anti-piracy and maritime crime exercise, codename "Bell Buoy," taking place at Devonport Naval Base in Auckland from May 13-24.

The statement clarified that this exercise, aimed at protecting maritime trade, is based on the humanitarian assistance mission in the Southwest Pacific.
The Bell Buoy exercise attracted participation from the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Chile, South Korea, Singapore, Argentina, Uruguay, and New Zealand.
This exercise will help develop and test professional skills in disaster relief operations, humanitarian assistance, and civil maritime activities in unstable areas plagued by piracy and illegal fishing.
