(Baonghean.vn) - Within the framework of the activities of the Van Temple - Cua Rao Festival 2017, on the afternoon of February 16 (ie January 20, Dinh Dau year), Tuong Duong district solemnly held a ceremony to receive the Certificate of Recognition of Vietnam Heritage Tree.

Attending the ceremony were Professor, Doctor of Science Dang Huy Huynh - Vice President of the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment, Chairman of the Vietnam Heritage Tree Council; Comrade Nguyen Tien Lam - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Deputy Head of the Management Board of the Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve. Representatives of the district leaders, communes and towns in Tuong Duong district, along with a large number of local officials, people and tourists from all over.

In addition to the banyan tree and the tamarind tree in the grounds of Van - Cua Rao Temple, 10 sa mu dau trees in Tam Hop commune, Tuong Duong district were also recognized as Vietnam Heritage Trees by the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment on this occasion. The ceremony to receive the certificate of recognition of heritage trees aims to honor, propagate and promote the values ​​of trees, contributing to raising the sense of responsibility for protecting the environment, nature, preserving and promoting the Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve.
