Pursuant to Decision No. 258/QD-TTg of 2010 of the Prime Minister on approving the project "Innovation and improvement of the effectiveness of judicial appraisal activities" (referred to as Project 258), the Provincial People's Committee has established a Steering Committee, organized the implementation of the Law on Judicial Appraisal and many other activities to deploy judicial appraisal activities in the province.

In 5 years, the units have organized appraisals of 13,446 cases in the fields of forensics, psychiatry, criminal techniques, finance - tax, and construction. The appraisals have ensured objectivity, accuracy, and basically met the time requirements. There have been no complaints or denunciations related to the appraisal work.

Overall assessment after 5 years of project implementation, judicial appraisal work in the province has gradually become routine. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hong - Deputy Director of the Department of Health suggested that it is necessary to pay attention to supporting the regime for the team of forensic experts and increase the staff for the Center for Forensic Expertise to meet the increasing demand in the coming time.

Colonel Dau Xuan Dong - Head of the Criminal Technique Department (Provincial Police) suggested that more attention should be paid to training and specialized training for local forensic experts.

Concluding the conference, comrade Le Xuan Dai highly appreciated the results of the units in implementing Project 258. However, with the shortcomings and limitations that have been pointed out, the sectors and units need to frankly acknowledge and at the same time propose solutions to improve the effectiveness of judicial appraisal activities in the coming time.
