13 works were selected to receive awards in the Photo Contest 'Nghe An follows Uncle Ho's teachings'

On the morning of August 23, the Organizing Committee of the Photo Contest "Nghe An follows Uncle Ho's teachings" 2020 held the Opening Ceremony of judging the photo contest.

Attending the event were representatives of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports, representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Nghe An Journalists Association and members of the Organizing Committee.

The 2020 photo contest "Nghe An follows Uncle Ho's teachings" organized by the Provincial Cultural Center in coordination with the Nghe An Journalists Association, officially launched on May 19, 2019 with the artistic sponsorship of the Vietnam Association of Fine Arts.

The contest aims to promote the celebration of the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday and major holidays in 2019 - 2020, towards the 19th Nghe An Provincial Party Congress and the 13th National Party Congress.

The contest is open to all professional and amateur photographers in Nghe An province and invites photographers in the North Central region and Nghe An people living and working in all regions of the country to participate.

The photo entries must reflect the achievements of Nghe An province in the fields of: economy, politics, culture - society, national defense - security and foreign affairs.

After more than 1 year of launching, the Organizing Committee received 230 works from 31 authors participating in the contest. The Organizing Committee has carried out the work of checking the works according to the rules and decided the time for judging, the time for opening the exhibition, and coordinated with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists to establish a Jury.

After 3 rounds of judging, the Jury selected 13 works to award prizes, including 03 Second prizes, 04 Third prizes and 06 Consolation prizes.

The award ceremony is expected to be held on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Nghe Tinh Soviet (1930 - 2020) in early September 2020.
