British police are searching for 13 Vietnamese teenagers, aged between 14 and 18, who disappeared from Northamptonshire, amid fears they may have fallen into the hands of human trafficking gangs.

According to the Daily Mail, the 13 teenagers left their home just days after being placed in the care system. Northamptonshire Police have released details of the identities and photos of the 13 teenagers.

In addition, detectives were also mobilized along with social workers to quickly find traces of 13 Vietnamese teenagers. Last month, several dozen children of Vietnamese origin were rescued from the hands of traffickers. They were then placed in a protection center.

More than 150 Vietnamese teenagers have disappeared from care since 2015. Of those, 88 have returned. Experts say the children fear being taken into care by the authorities and turn to their traffickers.

Many experts have asked the British government and the Home Office to take measures to care for and protect the children. A child expert from the British Home Office said: "We need to create an environment where children feel safe and do not want to run away."
