135 schools in Nghe An change opening date due to flooding
(Baonghean.vn) - In addition to changing the opening date, some schools have also planned to move the opening location to the committee hall or to multi-function buildings.
Previously, the policy of allowing the postponement of the opening day was proposed by the Department of Education and Training this morning (September 4) due to the continuous heavy rain in the province and the forecast of more rain in the coming days.
After the urgent dispatch, many schools have also developed plan 2 and by 5:00 p.m. this afternoon, through the Department of Education and Training's synthesis, 135 schools have announced that they will change the opening date.
Of which, there are 51 schools under the Department of Education and Training, mainly concentrated in Vinh city (18 schools), Cua Lo town (23 schools), Thanh Chuong (9 schools), Quynh Luu (1 school) and Nam Dan (69 schools).

Nam Dan and Cua Lo town are also two localities where 100% of schools have postponed their opening date.
Mr. Le Trung Son - Head of the Department of Education and Training of Nam Dan district added: Currently, schools in the communes of Nam Kim, Nam Phuc, Nam Anh, Nam Xuan are flooded. Therefore, to ensure the safety of students, the district has decided to move the opening day to a time convenient for all students in the district.
In addition, there are 15 high schools including: Le Viet Thuat High School, Nguyen Trai High School (Vinh city), Cua Lo 2 High School (Cua Lo town), Nam Dan 2 High School, Mai Hac De High School (Nam Dan), Nghi Loc 2, 3, 5 High School (Nghi Loc), Nguyen Xuan On High School, Dien Chau 3, 4 High School (Dien Chau), Phan Thuc Truc High School, Bac Yen Thanh High School, Yen Thanh 3 High School (Yen Thanh), Do Luong 2 High School (Do Luong).
Besides, 8 schools changed their opening ceremony location, mainly to the commune People's Committee headquarters.

In Vinh city, according to the Department of Education and Training, most schools still hold opening ceremonies at the school's multi-function hall.
However, there are 2 schools that will move into the headquarters of the Ward People's Committee, which are Ben Thuy Secondary School and Hung Dung Secondary School.
In addition, 18 schools will postpone the opening ceremony, including 2 secondary schools: Le Loi Secondary School and Ha Huy Tap Secondary School.
Primary schools that will postpone the opening date include: Ben Thuy, Ha Huy Tap 2, Le Loi, Nghi An, Nghi Kim, Trung Do, Truong Thi, Vinh Tan.
At the preschool level, according to the plan, 27/28 preschools will still be held as usual. Nghi Duc Kindergarten may have to postpone the schedule because the school yard is currently flooded.
Besides, some non-public kindergartens also postponed the opening date.
Ms. Hoang Thi Phuong Thao - Head of the City Department of Education and Training said: This is the school opening schedule until 5:00 p.m. this afternoon. However, parents should continue to monitor because if the weather is favorable, schools may change at the last minute.
