Delivering the opening speech, journalist Phan Viet Hung - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Young Pioneer Newspaper and Children's League emphasized that the National Youth Football Tournament has been held annually for the past 25 years. The tournament is a useful playground for teenagers, and also a place to nurture and discover talents for Vietnamese football. This year’s tournament has the message “Fostering future talents”, with the goal of continuing to become an attractive, professional sports playground with high professional quality to help children have the opportunity to practice and foster their love of football, as well as discover potential factors contributing to the development of Vietnamese football in the future. The tournament is organized to satisfy the wishes of teenagers, through the playground to help them have the opportunity to demonstrate and shine their football talent.

This year, in the context of the relatively complicated epidemic, the Organizing Committee has coordinated with the Nghe An Department of Health and relevant parties to create a detailed and scientific plan to ensure the safety of participating athletes. To avoid the spread of the epidemic, the host unit and the organizing committee have issued strict regulations for the participating teams. Specifically, athletes are not allowed to come into contact with outsiders, and players must strictly comply with the "closed bubble" regulations. If F0 is detected, the teams must remain calm and coordinate with the Nghe An Department of Health to isolate the cases, along with promptly isolating and tracing F1s.

Attending the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau - Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation shared that the National U13 Football Tournament is very meaningful for the players, helping them improve their football skills and have the opportunity to exchange and learn from each other. This year, while the whole country is trying to fight the epidemic, with the enthusiastic support of Nghe An province, the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An has helped the Organizing Committee successfully organize the tournament. Although the epidemic situation is still quite complicated, with the active participation of all parties, I believe that the tournament will reach a successful finish.

The tournament will take place from December 24 to December 31, at SLNA Club stadiums.
