14 days without community infections
At 6:00 a.m. on April 30, the Ministry of Health recorded no new cases of nCoV, marking 6 days without new infections and 14 days without community transmission.
Yesterday, two more people tested positive for nCoV again, bringing the number of positive cases to 11. The total number of infections is 270, of which 219 people have recovered and 51 patients are being treated.

The patients who tested positive again included 188, 137, 74, 130 and 50 in Hanoi; 52 and 149 in Quang Ninh; 36 in Binh Thuan; 207, 224 and 151 in Ho Chi Minh City. The Ministry of Health said that the five people who tested positive again had virus culture results showing that they were "dead nCoV", not infectious.
At the meeting of the National Steering Committee for Epidemic Prevention and Control yesterday afternoon, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam said that the April 30-May 1 holiday is a time for the public security, defense, and health sectors to review and prepare well for epidemic prevention and control. After the holiday, the whole society will return to normal life.
The Deputy Prime Minister also assigned the Ministry of Science, Health and relevant agencies to research and develop a vaccine to prevent the disease.
More than 34,000 people are being quarantined and monitored for their health. Of these, 316 are quarantined at hospitals. More than 6,700 are quarantined at other facilities. The rest are quarantined at home or at their place of residence.
