150 photos participating in the Exhibition "Homeland's Sea and Islands"
On the afternoon of October 19, at the Da Nang Museum, Vietnam News Agency (VNA) in coordination with the Vietnam-Russia Joint Venture Vietsovpetro organized a photo exhibition "The Sea and Islands of the Fatherland."
The exhibition introduces nearly 150 photos selected from tens of thousands of precious films and photo files in the archives of VNA and a number of non-professional collaborators.
The exhibition shows that over the years, generations of VNA reporters have attached their responsibility to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland's seas and islands, always being present on coastal roads and remote islands, in the most difficult places, in the most tumultuous times, both during the period of bombs and bullets as well as building and protecting the Fatherland in peace.
The images of Truong Sa soldiers in the midst of rough waves still carrying guns and playing guitars... are not only the notes of a revolutionary epic, but also the normal rhythm of life of Vietnamese people on the journey to defend the country...
Images of fishing nets bathed in the morning sunlight, bustling fishing ports in the evening, ships loading oil at the central ports, drilling rigs towering in the middle of the ocean, power and fertilizer plants rushing to supply products... were all captured by VNA reporters at the "peak" moments of the event, light and lines.

The image of President Ho Chi Minh with officers and soldiers of the Vietnamese Navy during an inspection trip to a coastal area; the image of Party and State leaders being close and friendly with fishermen or in the middle of a coastal construction site, on a modern submarine; the image of workers hanging in mid-air to pull the power grid to bring light to remote islands; children happily going to school in the early morning breeze of Truong Sa... all demonstrate a strategic vision, a strong determination and consistent actions of our Party, State and people in the cause of conquering, developing the marine economy and protecting Vietnam's sovereignty over seas and islands.
The photo exhibition “The Sea and Islands of the Fatherland” is an expression of the affection and responsibility of VNA journalists and the officers and workers of the Vietnam-Russia Oil and Gas Joint Venture for each sacred piece of land and sea of the Fatherland, and at the same time to pay tribute to the Vietnamese people who fell in the vast ocean for the cause of building and protecting the homeland’s sea and islands.
The exhibition lasts until October 24./.
