Who are the 16 officials in Son La who were prosecuted?

During the land compensation process in the Son La Hydropower Plant area, 17 officials in Son La province intentionally violated state regulations, lacked responsibility, and caused serious consequences. Among them, two Deputy Directors of the Department were arrested, and many officials of the province and Muong La district were also "involved".

During 3 days, from November 16 to 18, the Investigation Security Agency of Son La Provincial Police presided over and coordinated with the Provincial People's Procuracy and relevant functional units to execute the Arrest Order for 15 suspects for temporary detention; the Order prohibiting them from leaving their place of residence for 2 suspects related to the case that occurred during the land compensation process in the Son La Hydropower Plant area.

On the afternoon of November 19, the Investigation Security Agency of Son La Provincial Police announced that among a series of "incriminating" officials, 12 people were prosecuted for the crime of Intentionally violating state regulations on economic management causing serious consequences (Article 165 - Penal Code) and 4 people were prosecuted for the crime of Lack of responsibility causing serious consequences (Article 285 - Penal Code).

Mr. Phan Tien Dien (born in 1975) - Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Son La province was prosecuted and detained for intentionally violating state regulations on economic management causing serious consequences while serving as Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Muong La district.

1. Mr. Truong Tuan Dung (born in 1960) - Former Permanent Vice Chairman of Muong La District People's Committee, Chairman of the District Compensation, Support and Resettlement Council. When arrested, he was Deputy Director of the Department of Finance of Son La province.

2. Mr. Phan Tien Dien (born in 1975) - Former Permanent Vice Chairman of Muong La District People's Committee, Chairman of the District Compensation, Support and Resettlement Council. When prosecuted and detained, he was holding the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment (TNMT) of Son La province.

3. Mr. Phan Duc Chinh (born in 1961) - Former Head of the Resettlement Management Board, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Compensation, Support and Resettlement Council of Muong La district. When detained, he was Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Muong La district.

4. Mr. Phan Xuan Khoa (born in 1974) - Deputy Head of the Resettlement Project Management Board of Muong La district;

6. Mr. Mai Van Quang (born in 1973) - Deputy Director of Land Registration Office, Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Son La province.

7. Mr. Bui Van Tan (born in 1979) - Head of the Surveying Team, Technical Department, Land Registration Department, Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Son La province;

8. Vu Hong Giang (born in 1984) - Team leader of the Surveying Team of Bao Binh Consulting and Surveying Joint Stock Company;

9. Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh (born in 1970) - Deputy Head of Technical Department (Technical Center of Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Son La province).
