16 years in prison for the "female monster" with 3 previous convictions who still "determined" to possess drugs
(Baonghean.vn) - Dinh Thi Mai (born in 1979, residing in Nhu Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province) has 3 previous convictions that have not yet been cleared. However, she continued to "return to her old ways" by possessing 121.8 grams of drugs, adding another 16 years to her prison sentence.

According to the indictment: On June 27, 2018, Dinh Thi Mai went to Doc Kem hill in Xop Pu village, Yen Na commune, Tuong Duong district. Here, Mai called an ethnic man and said: "I am at Doc Kem hill and need to buy 56 million VND worth of heroin". A moment later, someone handed Mai a black polyethylene bag containing 121g of heroin and 0.8g of drugs for use. When she arrived at the intersection of Xieng Nua village, Yen Na commune, Tuong Duong district, Mai was caught red-handed by the Investigation Police Department of Tuong Duong district police.
Previously, Dinh Thi Mai was sentenced by the People's Court of Thanh Hoa province to 6 years in prison for "Circulating counterfeit money" in 1997; in 2005 by the People's Court of Nhu Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province, she was sentenced to 30 months in prison for "Illegal drug trafficking"; in 2008 by the People's Court of Nhu Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province, she was sentenced to 36 months in prison for "Gambling".
At the trial, considering that the defendant Dinh Thi Mai had honestly confessed her guilt, applying Clause 4, Article 249 of the Penal Code, the Trial Panel sentenced the defendant to 16 years in prison for the crime of "Illegal possession of narcotics".
