16 outstanding teams and 14 outstanding individuals at the 2025 National Defense and Security Education Competition in Nghe An.
On the morning of April 2nd, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training held the closing ceremony for the 2nd Provincial-level National Defense and Security Education Competition for High School Students, 2025.
This year's competition saw the participation of 657 students from 73 high schools across the province. The contestants competed in various categories, including both theory and practice.
The theoretical exam focuses on topics covered in the National Defense and Security Education Program for grades 10, 11, and 12, assessing understanding of military and defense issues.
In the practical section, contestants participated in drill and formation exercises, individual skills such as disassembling and assembling AK rifles, throwing grenades accurately over long distances, and combat movement postures…

According to the organizers' assessment, the contestants performed quite well in this competition. Many units had prepared thoroughly, thus fulfilling the competition requirements in terms of teamwork, individual performance, and the overall performance of the platoon.

The students' performance shows that the national defense and security education work in high schools has undergone significant changes. From this competition, the Department of Education and Training and the schools have more basis to assess the quality and attention given to national defense and security education.
At the same time, there are solutions to successfully implement the 2018 General Education Program on National Defense and Security Education at the high school level, issued under Circular No. 46 of the Ministry of Education and Training, aiming to develop qualities and competencies for students, helping them apply military knowledge and skills to life.

This is the second provincial-level competition, but the first under the 2018 General Education Program. Students who win prizes in this competition are recognized as outstanding students at the provincial level, just like in other academic subjects.
At the conclusion of the competition, the organizing committee recognized 327 students as outstanding students at the provincial level in 2025. The Department of Education and Training awarded certificates of merit to 14 students who won first prize in the competition.

The Organizing Committee also awarded prizes to 16 units that achieved the highest results in the competition, including 1 first prize, 3 second prizes, 5 third prizes, and 7 fourth prizes.
