(Baonghean.vn) - Hundreds of Con Cuong farmers were supported to build livestock barns to reduce free-range livestock.
With the forms of propaganda for people in remote areas to abandon the habit of grazing cattle by keeping them in captivity to prevent diseases, and support for lending livestock to people, in recent years, the livestock development movement in Con Cuong district has grown strongly. Currently, the whole district has 37,000 buffaloes and cows, and 36,000 pigs.

Implementing Decision 56 QD-UBND dated September 29, 2016 of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee on a number of policies and mechanisms to support poverty reduction for communes with a poverty rate of 30% or more, in 2017, Con Cuong district was supported in the field of agricultural development, including a support program for poor people in remote areas to build livestock barns.
Accordingly, the district supported 184 poor households in 5 communes including: Lang Khe, Mau Duc, Binh Chuan, Cam Lam and Thach Ngan; each household 1,600,000 VND to build barns for raising cows, goats and pigs; the total support cost is 294,400,000 VND.
Currently, the livestock barns of 106 households in 3 communes of Cam Lam, Lang Khe and Mau Duc have been accepted./.
