2.6 billion VND allocated to support households damaged by earthquake in Bac Tra My.

On January 3rd, EVN provided the second round of support, totaling 2.6 billion VND, to households and public buildings affected by cracks.

As reported, the 4.7 magnitude earthquake on the afternoon of November 15, 2012, in the Song Tranh 2 hydropower plant area caused cracks and damage to more than 920 houses and 24 public buildings in Bac Tra My district, Quang Nam province.

On January 3rd, Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) provided a second round of support totaling 2.6 billion VND to households and public buildings damaged by cracks caused by earthquakes at the Song Tranh 2 hydropower plant.

This time, EVN is providing 2 million VND in compensation for each damaged house and 30 million VND for each damaged public facility.

Mr. Huynh Ngoc Thieu, Head of the Agriculture and Rural Development Department of Bac Tra My district, the unit assigned to carry out earthquake damage relief efforts in the locality, said: The support aims to quickly reassure the people in the earthquake-affected area of ​​the Song Tranh 2 hydropower plant. The locality has proactively prepared and will begin distributing aid to households early next week, starting from January 8th.
