Father and son had their throats cut while looking for wild honey.
The bodies of an 11-year-old boy and his father were found in the bushes, their throats severed. The father and son had gone into the forest to look for honey.
The information was confirmed this morning by Mr. Chu Xuan Luc, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh commune, Dinh Lap district, Lang Son.
Earlier, on the morning of March 2, Mr. Duong Kim C., 34 years old, and his 11-year-old son went into the forest in another commune to look for honey. At 4 pm, when he did not see his husband and son return, Mr. C.’s wife called him but he did not answer.
At 11pm, she continued to call but still couldn't get through.
The next morning, Mr. C's wife called back but the phone signal was dead. The family split up to look for the father and son and notified the authorities.
When entering the forest, people were shocked to discover an 11-year-old boy in the bushes, dead, his body slashed and his neck severed.
The authorities and functional forces continued to search, and on March 4, they found Mr. C's body in the forest, also with his neck cut off, in a pineapple sack.
According to Mr. Luc, the authorities have identified the suspect and are in the process of investigating and clarifying.
