The scuffle between the two teams’ players occurred when coach Mourinho went to the MC dressing room to remind the visiting team’s players of their disrespectful “celebration”. This made the MC players angry and threw water and milk at Mourinho.
After that, MU players went to the away team's dressing room to protect their coach and a fight broke out. At the end of the incident, MC's assistant coach Mikel Arteta was injured in the head.
According to the FA, Mourinho will not be punished for his negative comments about the MC players before this match. However, the FA noted that the MU coach will be severely punished if he makes inappropriate comments again.
