Having been tricked and sold to China, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan returned to Vietnam to find young girls in border areas to sell abroad and profited hundreds of millions of dong.

On November 15, An Giang Provincial Police concluded their investigation and requested the People's Procuracy at the same level to prosecute two sisters, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan (20 years old) and Nguyen Thi Tuyet Ngan (18 years old, both residing in Thoai Son district) for human trafficking.

According to the investigation agency, the two sisters Ngan were tricked and sold to China. At the end of 2017, Kim Ngan returned to Vietnam and then went to Phnom Penh (Cambodia).

There, Ngan told her new friends that she knew many Chinese men who needed to buy women as wives. From there, Kim Ngan was introduced to two Cambodian women who were from Kandal province (born in 2002 and 2000).

According to the agreement, Kim Ngan took two Cambodian girls to China for a price.3,000 USDOn March 19, Kim Ngan received money and hired a car to transport the victims from Phnom Penh to Long Binh Border Gate (An Phu District) when she was discovered and questioned by authorities.

Kim Ngan later admitted to receiving and transporting people from Cambodia to Vietnam to send them to China for illegal profit. The defendant also confessed to selling a girl born in 1994 (from Dong Thap) to China as a wife in December 2017, for 55,000 yuan (equivalent to 192.5 million VND).

When the victim arrived in China, Tuyet Ngan continued to sell this girl born in 1994 to another person for 80,000 yuan (equivalent to 280 million VND).

From Kim Ngan's testimony, in April 2018, Tuyet Ngan returned to Vietnam and was prosecuted by the investigation agency and banned from leaving the country for investigation.
