2 subjects kidnapped a 2-year-old boy for ransom
Toan and Chung kidnapped the baby but fell asleep due to drug use. Just over 10 hours later, the two were arrested by the police.
On the night of July 21 and early morning of July 22, Hau Loc District Police, Thanh Hoa discovered and arrested two subjects who kidnapped children, Nguyen Van Toan, 33 years old in Ngu Loc Commune and Tang Van Chung, 25 years old in Hung Loc Commune, both in Hau Loc District.
According to initial statements, the two suspects admitted to kidnapping Nguyen Van Khanh, 2 years old - the son of Nguyen Van Luc and Dong Thi Hien in Minh Hop village, Minh Loc commune, Hau Loc district at noon on July 21. Khanh's parents said that at noon on July 21, they took Khanh back to their hometown in Ngu Loc commune for a death anniversary.
At around 12 noon, because the family was busy, Khanh went out into the street and was kidnapped by two young men. The family split up to look for him and reported to the police.

Upon receiving the news, Hau Loc District Police organized many working groups, coordinating with the police of the communes in the area to search for Khanh. By the evening of the same day, the authorities discovered Khanh wandering on the street and brought him back to his family.
After discovering Khanh, Hau Loc police investigated and arrested the kidnapper. By the evening of the same day, Nguyen Van Toan and Tang Van Chung were identified and arrested.
At the investigation agency, the two subjects confessed that they kidnapped Khanh for the purpose of extorting money, so they took Khanh to Da Loc commune, Hau Loc to keep him. Here, Toan and Chung drank alcohol, used drugs, then fell asleep. Because of that, Khanh wandered out into the street and was found by the police.
