2 subjects carrying 6 heroin cakes and loaded guns were caught.
The two subjects fiercely fought back against the arresting forces but failed to escape. The task force seized 6 heroin bricks, guns and bullets.
On the afternoon of February 24, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Dien Bien Provincial Police, in coordination with the Dien Bien Provincial Customs Department and Dien Bien Dong District Police, successfully broke up Project 219C, arrested 2 subjects, seized 6 heroin cakes and 1 homemade gun.

Specifically, at 1 p.m., in Na Ly village, Chieng So commune, Dien Bien Dong district (Dien Bien province), the working group of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Dien Bien Provincial Police coordinated with the Dien Bien Provincial Customs Department and Dien Bien Dong District Police to arrest 2 subjects while they were illegally buying and selling drugs.

The two arrested subjects are two brothers Lau A Nu, born in 1979 and Lau A Cau, born in 1995, both residing in Na San A village, Xa Dung commune, Dien Bien Dong district, Dien Bien province.
Confiscated evidence included 6 heroin cakes, 1 motorbike, 3 mobile phones, 1 homemade gun that fired sports bullets, 6 sports bullets and 1 AK bullet (of which 1 sports bullet was loaded).During the arrest, the two subjects fiercely resisted the arresting forces. However, the task force successfully controlled and arrested the two subjects.
At the police station, the two subjects confessed to having bought the drugs from a Myanmar man in the Vietnam-Laos border area. They were discovered and arrested while on their way to sell them.
