At about 7:06 p.m. on March 28, 2020, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department received a report of a house fire at 200 Ha Huy Tap Street, Ha Huy Tap Ward, Vinh City.
Immediately afterwards, 4 fire trucks and more than 40 officers and soldiers arrived at the scene, using professional measures to quickly extinguish the fire and promptly prevent the fire from spreading in a short time.
This is a 2-storey house, the first floor is a warehouse for storing drinks, beer, and soft drinks of all kinds; the second floor contains speakers, audio equipment, and personal belongings. Because the house contained many flammable items, many properties were burned down. The fire department coordinated with the Vinh City Police to quickly move the items and properties to a safe place, promptly preventing the fire from spreading.

It is known that the homeowner is Mr. Hoang Van Dung, the house was rented by him to a young man named Quang for business purposes. When the fire department was on duty, Mr. Quang was present at the scene.
Immediately after the fire was extinguished, Mr. Quang suddenly climbed onto the roof of his house and climbed onto the roof of his neighbor's house with the intention of committing suicide.
It is estimated that due to the psychological panic when witnessing the fire and the shock of losing property, Mr. Quang could not control himself and acted in a moment of anger. Faced with that situation, Vinh City Police and Ha Huy Tap Ward Police quickly coordinated to mobilize and persuade Mr. Quang to come down.

On the other hand, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department urgently used air mattresses and ladder trucks to get closer to Mr. Quang. After 2 hours of persuasion, Mr. Quang gave up his suicidal thoughts and was brought down safely.
The fire caused no human casualties, the cause is under investigation.
