2 10th grade students died from a crab

While passing the dam, two 15-year-old students saw crabs clinging to the dam wall and reached out to catch them. However, due to carelessness, they slipped and fell into the dam and drowned.

According to the People's Committee of Cat Tai commune, Phu Cat district (Binh Dinh province), at 3:00 p.m. on November 8, three students: Nguyen Ba Quy, Nguyen Cao Phong and Nguyen Chi Thanh (all 15 years old, residing in Canh An village, Cat Tai commune), currently 10th grade students, Phu Cat High School No. 2, were passing through the Cay Ke dam when Quy and Phong saw crabs clinging to the dam wall so they reached out to catch them.

However, due to carelessness, the children slipped and fell into the dam and sank deep under the water. It was not until 6 p.m. that same day that local people and relatives recovered the bodies of Phong and Quy.
