2 suspects involved in the murder in Dak Nong surrendered

Colonel Nam added that after the family's and the Investigation Agency's efforts, the two suspects who committed the murder in Dak Nong province on the night of July 8, Nguyen Dinh Ha and Phan Van Xin, came to the Investigation Police Agency (Department PC45) of the Provincial Police to surrender on July 14.

After that, the two suspects Xin and Ha were handed over by Nghe An Provincial Police to Dak Nong Provincial Police. On July 14, Dak Nong Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute the two suspects and extradite them to Dak Nong to assist in the investigation.

Before that, at around 1:30 a.m. on July 8, Mr. Le Ngoc Giap (born in 1988, residing in Duc Le A village, Duc Manh commune, Dak Mil district, Dak Nong province) was having dinner with 4 friends at a porridge shop in To 4, Dak Mil town, Dak Mil district.

Suddenly, a group of 3 young men wearing masks covering their faces (later identified as Nguyen Dinh Ha (born in 1987), Pham Van Kieu (born in 1992) and Phan Van Xin (born in 1993), all from Nghe An, arrived on motorbikes. As soon as they arrived, 2 of the 3 masked men approached and used electric batons to attack Mr. Giap, causing him to run away.

Mr. Giap fought back fiercely but was pursued and killed by the subjects, who pulled out weapons and stabbed him to death on the spot. Although he was later taken to the emergency room by local people, Mr. Giap died due to severe injuries.

Pham Van Kieu, one of the subjects who directly attacked Mr. Giap, was also seriously injured. Although his accomplices helped him escape on a motorbike, he died when he reached Buon Ma Thuot City. Here, Ha and Xin's group, through someone else, rented a car driven by Mr. D.PT (born in 1978, residing in Dak Lak province) to transport Kieu's body back to his hometown in Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province.

On the night of July 8, the police forces of Ha Tinh and Nghe An provinces set up checkpoints to arrest Ha and Xin. At around 11 p.m., the Ha Tinh provincial police discovered a car with the characteristics and license plate number they had been notified of. The force stopped the car in Ky Anh district, Ha Tinh province and determined that in addition to the driver D.PT, there was a corpse in the car, identified as Phan Van Kieu.

Mr. T stated that he was hired to transport the body to Nghe An. When he left, there were two people in the car, according to the investigation: Ha and Xin. However, when the car reached Quang Binh province, about 4km from Ngang Pass tunnel, the two people got out of the car and fled.

Phan Van Kieu's body was transferred to Nghe An immediately afterwards, where Nghe An Provincial Police conducted an autopsy on Kieu's body on the night of July 8.

Regarding the above murder case, Dak Nong Provincial Police have initiated a criminal case, prosecuted the accused, and urgently arrested 3 subjects: Pham Ba Thang (30 years old), Ha Thanh Cuong (32 years old) and Pham Anh Trung (22 years old, all residing in Dak Mil district).

Through investigation, the police determined that Pham Ba Thang had a personal conflict with the victim Giap, so he hired a group of people including Nguyen Dinh Ha (30 years old), Pham Van Kieu (25 years old) and Phan Van Xin (24 years old) from Nghi Loc district (Nghe An) to go to Dak Mil district with the purpose of beating and cutting Giap's leg tendons./.
