2 people died after a helmet was thrown by a 16-year-old boy
(Baonghean.vn) - Angry at Linh's attitude while out, Nguyen Huu Chien and his friends blocked the car and threw helmets at Linh's vehicle. The result was 2 deaths and 1 serious injury.
On the morning of November 17, the Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Province Police announced that the unit had just initiated a case and prosecuted Nguyen Huu Chien (born 2002, residing in village 5, Thanh Thuy commune, Thanh Chuong district) to investigate the crime of "Murder".
Nguyen Huu Chien was accused of causing the deaths of two people: Nguyen Van Linh (born in 1998, residing in Vo Liet commune, Thanh Chuong), Le Thi Quyen Anh (born in 2005, residing in Thanh Thuy commune, Thanh Chuong) and seriously injuring Hoang Quoc Khanh (born in 2003, residing in Vo Liet commune, Thanh Chuong).

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Hung - Deputy Chief of Thanh Chuong District Police said that the cause of the case stemmed from a small conflict during a trip between two groups of young people. "Chien's behavior of throwing his helmet towards a fast-moving vehicle on the road caused particularly serious consequences, killing two people and injuring one person, so there are enough elements to investigate the crime of murder," Lieutenant Colonel Hung said.
According to the case file, on November 5, Thanh Chuong District Police received a report that a serious traffic accident had occurred on National Highway 46, passing through Ru Nguoc in Ngoc Son Commune, leaving one person dead and two injured. However, upon examining the scene, conducting an autopsy, and taking statements from the people, the police determined that this was not a simple traffic accident.
Lieutenant Colonel Hung said that at the scene, the victims' bodies were quite far from the road, at the time of the accident there were no oncoming vehicles, the road was quite wide, and there were few obstacles. Combined with the testimony of the people, the police determined that this could be a murder case and changed the direction of the investigation.
At that time, the two injured victims were unconscious, so statements could not be taken to serve the investigation. Sources provided by the public said that before that, there were 2 groups of young men chasing each other on motorbikes on this road.
After 1 day of investigation, with the support and coordination of the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police, Thanh Chuong District Police determined that Nguyen Huu Chien (born 2002, residing in village 5, Thanh Thuy commune, Thanh Chuong district) and a number of other young men committed the above case.
Based on the collected documents and evidence, on November 6, 2018, the Thanh Chuong District Police Department issued a decision to temporarily detain Nguyen Huu Chien to clarify the act of "Murder". The case file and the subject were then transferred by Thanh Chuong District Police to the Provincial Police Department's Criminal Police Department for investigation according to their authority.
At the police station, Nguyen Huu Chien admitted that he was the one who threw the helmet and hit Linh in the face. Linh was driving a motorbike, with Khanh and Quyen Anh sitting behind. Due to losing control of the vehicle, Linh's motorbike crashed into a ditch on the side of the road, killing Linh on the spot. Khanh and Quyen Anh were seriously injured and were taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. By the evening of November 13, Quyen Anh also died.
The police clarified that the cause of the incident was that on the afternoon of November 5, Nguyen Van Linh, Hoang Quoc Khanh, Nguyen Van Truong (born 2005, residing in Vo Liet commune) and a number of other young men came to Quyen Anh's house to play.
Afterwards, Dinh Ba Dung (born 2003, residing in Tien Chinh village, Vo Liet commune) and Nguyen Huu Chien also came to Quyen Anh's house. Here, Dung slapped Truong and Khanh twice each. Seeing that, Linh reacted but was stopped by everyone.
On the way back, Dung and Chien's group were upset by Linh's attitude so they decided to go find and beat her. At about 5 pm that same day, seeing Linh's group running in the opposite direction on Highway 46 through Ngoc Son commune, Chien drove his motorbike, carrying Dung behind him, turned around and chased them. After running a short distance, Chien stopped his motorbike and threw his helmet at Linh's motorbike before running away.
