My Binh Ward Police (Long Xuyen, An Giang) arrested wanted suspect Le Truong Han, (37 years old), residing in Nguyen Du hamlet, My Binh ward, Long Xuyen city.

Han is one of two subjects who staged a robbery on a car at Vam Cong ferry and was wanted by the Long Xuyen City Police Investigation Agency for the crime of "theft of property".

Previously, at around 9:00 a.m. on February 12, Ms. Tran Thi Tuyet Nhung, residing in O Mon District, Can Tho City, and her husband drove car with license plate 65E - 2456 to the Vam Cong ferry area, on the An Giang side to buy ferry tickets.

Taking advantage of the moment when Ms. Nhung and her husband got off the bus to buy tickets, two young men staged a scene to steal a handbag (with 9 million VND and many other documents inside) from Ms. Nhung's car. When they discovered that the dash cam of the car behind them had recorded the theft from Ms. Nhung's car, the subjects tried to return the handbag and 4 million VND.

Through professional measures, Long Xuyen City Police identified the two young men as Le Truong Han and Duong Tri Thong, (36 years old), residing in My Thanh ward, Long Xuyen city.

However, after stealing the goods, Han and Thong fled the area. On April 22, Long Xuyen City Police issued a wanted notice for Han and Thong.

After hiding in many places, on the morning of May 5, when Han returned home to visit his family, he was arrested.

Han is a subject with 3 previous convictions for theft and robbery. Currently, the police force is continuing to hunt for Thong.
