After 8 days at sea, the NA 94678 - TS fishing boat with a capacity of 800 CV owned by Mr. Ho Khac Quang in Quynh Nghia commune (Quynh Luu) caught more than 13 tons of various types of fish: hairtail, anchovy, mullet, small spotted fish, squid... with a total revenue of more than 200 million VND. This was the first offshore trip after the Lunar New Year, so he and the crew on the boat considered the catch this time as a good sign to start a favorable fishing year.
Thanks to favorable weather, fishing boat NA 92555 - TS of Mr. Hoang Ngoc Trung in Tien Thuy commune went out to sea and was successful in the first fishing trip of the year. During 7 days in the traditional fishing ground of the Gulf of Tonkin, the workers on this fishing boat collected more than 10 tons of fish, squid... of which the exported output of hairtail fish reached 300 kg. After completing the sale of seafood at Lach Quen Port, Mr. Trung urgently refueled, iced, and food to continue fishing at sea.

According to the district's Department of Agriculture, Quynh Luu currently has 1,200 fishing boats. Since the beginning of 2019, the district has exploited more than 5,300 tons of fish and squid with an estimated value of nearly 200 billion VND, an increase of more than 1,000 tons and 50 - 60 billion VND over the same period last year.
