Khun village bridge was washed away by flood.

After the flood, the local government and sectors together with the people of Chau Hoi focused on repairing and overcoming the situation, but up to now, most of the traffic and irrigation systems, especially urgent works, are still in disarray, causing many difficulties in people's travel, work and production.

A typical example is the Khun village aqueduct project, an irrigation and traffic project across Phai Huong stream with a total investment of over 2 billion VND serving the travel of 223 households and irrigation for nearly 20 hectares of rice fields of the people, which was swept away by the flood. Currently, the people's travel and water regulation for the winter-spring crop are almost completely paralyzed. In particular, every day children have to wade across this stream to go to school, which is very dangerous to their health and life.

Many sections of the road from Hoi 2 village to Tan village have been completely damaged by floods.

Vi Thi Mai Hien, a 5th grade student at Chau Hoi 1 Primary School, said: Since the bridge was washed away by the flood, I have had to wade through the stream every day to get to school. It's okay on sunny days, but when it rains, the water rises, so I'm very scared. Not only Hien, but more than 30 students in Khun village are in the same situation.

As for the key project, the bridge and road from Hoi 1 village to Le village, the bridge was swept away by the flood, the roads at both ends of the bridge were completely destroyed. Immediately after the water receded, the leaders of Chau Hoi commune mobilized to build a temporary bridge for people to travel. As for the roads from Hoi 2 village to Tan village and some other infrastructure projects, only a part has been repaired, but in the long term, the commune needs the attention of all levels and sectors.

Many inter-commune traffic routes in Chau Hoi commune have suffered serious landslides.

Many traffic works and bridges have collapsed and are still unable to be repaired.

Discussing this issue, Mr.Nguyen Sy Luan - Vice Chairman of Chau Hoi Commune People's Committee said:Currently, the work of overcoming the consequences of floods at infrastructure works in Chau Hoi commune is facing many difficulties and obstacles. Because the commune's budget is limited, while mobilizing internal resources from the people after the floods is very difficult, because most of the people have suffered quite heavy losses in production and life.

Timely repair and restoration of infrastructure after floods is extremely necessary to stabilize people's lives and production. For Chau Hoi commune, which was severely affected by the recent flood, overcoming the consequences is more urgent than ever. Hopefully, despite the general difficult context, the authorities at all levels and related sectors will pay attention to help Chau Hoi commune people feel secure and stabilize their lives.
