Police later discovered Hoa at his wife's house in Hung Vuong apartment complex (Ward 11, District 5).
At 3:00 p.m. on March 23, the detective team quickly raided and controlled Hoa and his wife, Hong. After a quick interrogation, the two subjects confessed that the assets were hidden in a rented room on Highway 50, Binh Hung Commune (Binh Chanh District).

At the investigation agency, Hoa confessed that he had a previous conviction for theft. After serving his prison term, he continued his old ways, regularly stealing donation money from many pagodas in Ho Chi Minh City, many of which were successful with Ms. Hong's help.
