20,000 billion VND mobilized to build new rural areas

(Baonghean.vn) – According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, after nearly 5 years of implementing the national target program on new rural construction (NTM), Nghe An has mobilized more than 20,000 billion VND.

The above resources include both the value of donated land and labor of the people. Of which, the central government's support capital is 757.490 billion VND; the province's investment support capital is 603.574 billion VND; the districts' investment support capital is 798.568 billion VND; the communes' investment capital is 505.047 billion VND; the combined capital from programs and projects is 7,354.5 billion VND, accounting for 35%; the people's contributed capital is 6,502.8 billion VND, accounting for 31%, the rest is credit capital, contributions from enterprises, etc.

The report also pointed out: Direct investment resources for the program are still limited, mobilization of people's strength tends to decrease, and some localities' debt for new rural construction is still high.
