225 days on the construction site of the 500kV circuit 3 power line.

After 225 days of construction, the 500kV circuit 3 transmission line project from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen) has been energized and is fully operational along the entire route.

The Quang Trach - Quynh Luu 500kV transmission line project is the final component of the 500kV circuit 3 transmission line project from Quang Trach to Pho Noi. The Quang Trach - Quynh Luu project spans 226 km, passing through the provinces of Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, and Nghe An. The project includes 463 tower foundation locations, of which 237 are located through mountainous terrain and complex landscapes. Of the 197 spans along the transmission line corridor, 7 spans cross large rivers and lakes, and 15 spans cross national highways. (Photo: Cuong Dao)

Besides favorable factors, the project faced many difficulties and challenges during implementation, including mobilizing machinery and equipment for simultaneous construction along the entire route; difficulties related to the terrain, with many locations on high hills and mountains; and challenging access to the foundation sites, especially during rainy weather when the roads are steep, slippery, and the construction surface is unfavorable. Adverse weather conditions, including many rainy days, storms, thunderstorms, extreme heat, and days with strong winds lasting 3 to 7 hours, as well as lightning strikes, have forced construction to halt at numerous times to ensure the safety of workers and equipment. (Photo: Cuong Dao)

The project also faced difficulties in mobilizing construction workers to erect poles and lay wires due to the tight construction schedule, short implementation time, and the simultaneous construction volume of poles and wires for other large projects. Photo: Cuong Dao
