24 teams participate in the competition 'Conquer the Future'
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 13, at Dang Thai Mai Secondary School, the Department of Education and Training in coordination with the Science and Education Department and Vietnam Television organized the preliminary round of the program "Conquer the Future" for secondary school students in the 2023-2024 school year in the city.
Nghe An is one of the first three localities in the country to organize the preliminary round of the “Conquer the Future” contest. After this contest, the province will select the best team to participate in the regional semi-finals.
The competition was attended by 24 teams from secondary schools in the province, including Vinh city; Hung Nguyen, Nam Dan, Nghi Loc, Dien Chau districts; Cua Lo and Hoang Mai towns. In the program, each team went through 3 rounds: Multiple Choice, Essay Writing and Debate in independent examination rooms.

In addition, candidates will also participate in creative experiential educational activities at the secondary school level in the 2018 General Education Program.
The contest is a useful activity and playground for secondary school students, contributing to the development of qualities and abilities according to the curriculum.General Education Program 2018, creating opportunities for learning and exchange, contributing to the development of qualities such as patriotism, love of people, studiousness, diligence, honesty, responsibility; core competencies such as autonomy, self-study, calculation, ability to learn about nature and society, technological competence, self-study, aesthetic competence and physical competence.

On the other hand, the program's contents also aim to help secondary school teachers access appropriate ways to organize teaching and assessment activities, contributing to the effective implementation of the 2018 General Education Program.
At the launching ceremony, Mr. Vo Van Mai - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training hoped that the contest would have a positive impact on promoting the implementation of the 2018 General Education Program, with the desire to form global citizens in the future.
