Every year, in Nghe An, the amount of blood stored and produced only reaches about 30% of the demand according to WHO standards, and is only enough for emergency needs of patients. And there is a shortage especially during mid-summer and Lunar New Year (also known as seasonal blood shortage).
With the slogan "A drop of blood given is a life left behind", the Vinh Medical University Voluntary Blood Donation Club has participated in and carried out many blood donation programs to save lives and their blood has added life to those around them, especially seriously ill people in difficult circumstances.
