On the 28th of Tet, people are struggling to withdraw money from ATMs.
(Baonghean.vn) - In Nghe An, in the districts of Quy Hop, Tan Ky... there are dozens of agencies and units that pay salaries and other expenses through BIDV and Agribank; not to mention the number of people working far away who are paid to return home for Tet, so ATMs in the area are always overloaded.
According to the machineATM of BIDV Bank in Quy Hop townOn the morning of the 28th of Tet (February 13), hundreds of people waited in line to withdraw money. Many people from communes 30-40 km from the district center had to come early but waited in line for an hour but still could not withdraw money.
Mr. Pham Duc Huy in Quy Hop town said: "Every year, at the end of the year, I get a small salary and Tet bonus paid into my account. When I go to withdraw money, it's so crowded that I have to wait until almost noon and still can't withdraw money."

Sharing the same sentiment, Ms. Lo Thi Hien in Nam Son commune confided: "It's so hard, my house is more than 30 km from the center of Quy Hop district, I work as a worker in the South all year round, this year I was able to come home on the 23rd of December and was already worried about withdrawing money, when I went to the ATM I had to wait for dozens of people for my turn, but when I did the transaction the machine reported an error or ran out of money. So I had to trudge home. It's Tet, there are so many things to worry about, like shopping money, money to give to parents, relatives..., everyone needs money to spend but having to spend time and effort like this is so frustrating".
"I have gone back and forth between these two ATMs more than ten times. On the 26th of Tet, I had to wait in line for an hour to get my turn. Each time I withdrew money, I could only withdraw 3 million VND. The maximum withdrawal amount per day at an ATM is only 5 times, so I had to leave and wait in line to withdraw again tomorrow. I withdraw like this, it's very annoying for others to wait," said Ms. Lan Anh (Chau Hong commune).
To ensure security and order at ATMs, Quy Hop Police have assigned officers and soldiers to be on duty at automatic withdrawal points.
In Tan Ky, Do Luong,The same situation also occurs at ATMs when people and workers come to withdraw money and are overloaded.
