29 mass art troupes participate in the 3-region Folk Song and Instrumental Performance Festival in 2023
(Baonghean.vn) - Organizing the Festival of Folk Songs of the Three Regions in Uncle Ho's homeland is an honor and pride, and also an opportunity for Nghe An province to promote and introduce unique cultural and historical values to the people and domestic and international tourists.
On the evening of August 1, at the Traditional Arts Center of Nghe An province, the Department of Grassroots Culture (Ministry of Culture - Sports and Tourism) coordinated with the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An province to organize the 2023 Folk Song Festival of the Three Regions.
Attending the opening ceremony, on behalf of the Department of Grassroots Culture were comrades: Ninh Thi Thu Huong - Director; Nguyen Quoc Huy - Deputy Director.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; comrades of the Provincial Party Executive Committee: Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Tran Thi My Hanh - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An; representatives of the leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports, Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism; mass art troupes of 29 provinces and cities across the country.
The 2023 Folk Song and Instrument Festival of the Three Regions is an activity within the framework ofNghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival 2023, taking place from August 1-5 in Vinh city, Nghe An province.
Participating in the festival are 29 mass art troupes from the Cultural Center, Cultural and Art Center, Cultural - Cinema Center of the provinces: An Giang, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Bac Kan, Bac Ninh, Binh Dinh, Dong Nai, Gia Lai, Ha Tinh, Hung Yen, Kon Tum, Lai Chau, Lam Dong, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Phu Yen, Quang Ninh, Son La, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, Thua Thien Hue, Tien Giang, Tuyen Quang, Vinh Long, Vinh Phuc, Yen Bai, Nghe An, Can Tho city, Hai Phong city and Ho Chi Minh city.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, comrade Nguyen Quoc Huy - Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture said: The festival of folk songs and singing of the three regions is organized to propagate, introduce and promote the quintessence of intangible cultural heritage through folk songs and traditional musical instruments of the regions associated with social life, meeting the needs of enjoying spiritual culture of the masses.
Thereby enhancing the exchange of experiences, learning and raising responsibility in preserving and promoting national cultural values in the process of innovation, integration and national development.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Tran Thi My Hanh - Director of Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports affirmed: Organizing the Festival of Folk Songs of the 3 Regions in Uncle Ho's homeland is an honor and pride, and also an opportunity for Nghe An province to promote and introduce unique cultural and historical values to the people and domestic and international tourists.
At the same time, it reminds us to have a higher responsibility in preserving and promoting the traditional cultural and artistic values of our homeland in the cause of building and developing our province.
According to the festival's plan, mass art troupes will compete from August 1 to 4; each troupe will create an art program of at least 5 acts, with a maximum duration of 35 minutes, to compete.
The closing ceremony of the Folk Song Festival of the Three Regions was held in conjunction with the closing ceremony of the Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival, taking place on the evening of August 5 at Ho Chi Minh Square.
