3.5 tons of stinking buffalo and cow hides are being prepared for sale during Tet

At 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2020, while patrolling in Tho Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, the Traffic Police force of Yen Thanh district discovered and seized 3.5 tons of rotten buffalo and cow skin.
Lieutenant Colonel Tang Van Long - Captain of the Traffic Police Team of Yen Thanh District Police said: At the time of checking the truck with license plate 37C-157.67, the driver, Tran Dinh Long (born in 1976, residing in Hamlet 3, Tho Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh) did not present documents proving the origin of the animal skins (veterinary quarantine certificate, quarantine certificate...).

Initially, driver Long confessed to driving for hire for a resident in hamlet 2, Tho Thanh commune, Yen Thanh to process food for consumption during Tet.

Five days earlier (December 29, 2019), the Traffic Police of Yen Thanh district also discovered truck 37C-041.63 driven by Nguyen Duc Dam (born in 1994) in Trung Thanh commune, Yen Thanh carrying over 500 kg of rotten buffalo and cow skin for sale.
