3,500 delegates attend the ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament

This morning (August 30), in Hanoi, the Central Executive Committee of the Party, the National Assembly, the President, the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Hanoi City solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the implementation of President Ho Chi Minh's Testament (1969-2019) and the 50th anniversary of his death (September 2, 1969 - September 2, 2019).

It is expected that about 3,500 delegates will attend the Celebration, including delegates from the Central and local levels, representatives of a number of diplomatic agencies, revolutionary veterans, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the Armed Forces, Labor Heroes of the Renewal Period, veterans, intellectuals, religious figures, ethnic minorities, students, people from all walks of life and the Capital's armed forces.

The celebration began at 9am at the National Convention Center with speeches by Party and State leaders. This was followed by speeches by representatives of exemplary models of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, and finally by speeches by representatives of the young generation of Vietnam.

The ceremony aims to review and affirm the profound theoretical and practical values ​​of the Testament; to express respect and deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh. Thereby contributing to the propaganda and raising awareness of the implementation of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style among all levels, sectors, cadres, party members and people, encouraging patriotic emulation movements, and determination to complete the goals and tasks set out in the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels and the Resolution of the 12th National Congress of the Party.

Before the ceremony, Party and State leaders, former Party and State leaders, leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central and Hanoi Departments, Ministries, branches and organizations visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi./.
