Rosoboronexport has no intention of exporting Russia's latest weapons in the near future, including Armata tanks, S-500 systems, and T-50 aircraft.

Rosoboronexport has no intention of selling the latest Russian weapons in the near future, including Armata tanks, S-500 air defense systems, and T-50 fifth-generation fighter jets, Rosoboronexport Director General Alexander Mikheev said.

"Of course, modern weapons that attract the attention of the media and countries around the world such as the latest generation Armata tank, the S-500 air defense system, the 5th generation fighter jet and some other Russian weapons systems will have great export potential.

However, up to now Rosoboronexport's plans for exporting current weapons have not been determined," RIA Novosti news agency quoted Mr. Alexander Mikheev.

One of the reasons for this decision is that they are not yet in mass production, some are already in service and some are being tested.

So in the future after completing these works and getting permission from the State, they may be exported.

Rosoboronexport representatives also said that if allowed to export, they are ready to supply any type of weapons to NATO countries if the Russian President allows it and NATO countries must end their dishonest competition with Russia.

"Depending on President Putin's decisions, we are always proud and work hard for his decisions, including the supply of modern military equipment to NATO countries," said Alexander Mikheev.

One of the reasons affecting the production and export of these modern weapons is due to being hindered by unfair competition from Western countries and the United States.

Currently, both Rosoboronexport and many Russian companies and corporations are on the sanctions lists of these countries.

However, Mr. Mikheev also revealed that since the beginning of 2017, Rosoboronexport has exported more than 5 billion USD worth of military equipment, while the state investment portfolio has reached nearly 45 billion USD.

Rosoboronexport is a Russian state-owned company and the only company in Russia that exports and imports the entire range of military technology and services. Its full name is Joint Stock Company Rosoboronexport. Its headquarters is in Moscow. It includes the state corporation Rostec.

Last month, RIA Novosti news agency quoted Vladimir Mikheev, head of the KRET Optoelectronic Equipment Design Consortium, as saying that Russia had agreed to export the President-S defense system (ODS) and the Rychag-AV helicopter electronic warfare system to three customers in Asia and Latin America and one in the Middle East.

However, for objective reasons, he did not specifically mention these 3 customers.

Experts say that Russia is now planning to export weapons around the world.

In addition to economic purposes, Russia's arms export contracts also aim to compete for influence and popularize their weapons compared to potential rivals - especially the US.

For example, countries in the Middle East have now begun to abandon American weapons and choose Russian weapons to equip their armies.

Therefore, he believes that in the future, the potential for exporting these modern weapons is huge and will certainly be realized.
