Waist
If you have a lot of fat around your middle, you are at risk of heart disease or type 2 diabetes. You can easily measure your waist circumference with a tape measure. A waist measurement of over 80 cm in women and 94 cm in men puts you at high risk of disease.
Resting heart rate
Place two fingers on your wrist or neck and count the number of beats per minute. Between 60 and 100 beats per minute is normal, lower than this number means better health than normal, higher than this number shows that the heart is having to work too hard due to lack of exercise.
Body fat test
Unlike BMI, a body fat test tells you how much fat you have, separate from your muscle mass. The ideal body fat level for women is 20-32% and for men it is 8-19%.
Alternatively, you can consider weight based on basal metabolic rate, but this method is relatively complex and there is no unified calculation method.
