3 ham production facilities were suddenly inspected at midnight
(Baonghean.vn) – During a surprise inspection at three ham production facilities in Vinh city, the provincial interdisciplinary inspection team conducted a quick borax test. The results showed that these facilities did not use borax in production.

In response to people's suspicions that ham and sausage establishments in Vinh City were using borax in production, at 3 a.m. on May 10, the Nghe An Province Food Safety Interdisciplinary Inspection Team conducted a surprise inspection at 3 establishments.
The first facility that the delegation inspected was Hau Trang ham production facility - No. 14, Bui Duong Lich Street, Quan Bau Ward. This is the facility that on May 5, the Central Interdisciplinary Inspection Team inspected, discovered a number of violations and requested to temporarily suspend operations for correction.
At the time of inspection, Hau Trang ham production facility had corrected all the violations pointed out by the central inspection team. The facility purchased additional cabinets and tools, participated in food safety training, health check-ups, updated slaughter inspection certificates, veterinary inspections, etc.

The inspection team conducted a quick test on the ham products of Hau Trang ham production facility. The results showed that the test strip did not react. After the inspection, the interdisciplinary team officially allowed the facility to resume operations.
Next, the interdisciplinary inspection team inspected two ham and sausage establishments in Hamlet 7, Nghi Phu Commune, Vinh City. The inspection results showed that the two establishments used raw materials (meat) of clear origin. The team also conducted a quick test on two samples and did not detect any borax. However, these establishments were fined because the direct producers did not use adequate labor protection equipment./.
