3 new car models priced at over 300 million VND in Vietnam

The three most notable car models in the 300 million VND price range in Vietnam are Kia Morning, Chevrolet Spark and Hyundai Grand i10.

With around 300 million VND, Vietnamese customers have very few options. If they choose to buy a used car, they will encounter many problems with maintenance, repair, and fuel consumption. Kia Morning 1.0MT (327 million VND)

Kia Morning is always the most attractive name in the segment because of its cheap price and beautiful design. The basic version Morning 1.0MT has a listed price of 327 million VND in Vietnam.

Kia Morning is 3,595 mm long, 1,595 mm wide and 1,490 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,385 mm. The car uses a 1-liter I3 engine, with a maximum capacity of 66 horsepower and a torque of 94 Nm. 5-speed manual transmission.

Advantage:Beautiful design, fuel efficient. Due to the weight of only 940 kg, the car is not too weak. Driving on the highway at a speed of 100 km/h still feels quite stable, not wobbly.

Disadvantages:Soundproofing is very poor when driving on highways or bad roads. This is a common disadvantage of A-class cars because of the thin doors and body. The overall size is smaller than the Grand i10, so the interior space is also more cramped. The rear seats are upright, making long trips very tiring.

Chevrolet Spark LS (VND 333 million)

Advantage:This model has a low price, equal to its competitor Kia Morning and cheaper than Hyundai Grand i10. The car is fuel-efficient, only about 4-5 liters/100 km.

Disadvantages:Weak engine, only 68 horsepower but weighs up to 1 ton. The car's design is outdated, not as eye-catching as Kia Morning and Hyundai Grand i10. The engine is quite noisy, especially when operating on the highway. In addition, like other Chevrolet models, Spark loses a lot of value when resold.

Grand i10 1.0 Base (VND 359 million)

The Grand i10 has a larger overall size than its two competitors Morning and Spark. The overall length of the car is 3,765, 1,660 and 1,520 mm. The wheelbase is 2,425 mm.

Advantage:The car has the most spacious and comfortable dimensions in the segment. The design is beautiful and balanced thanks to the "flowing sculpture" design language applied to Hyundai products.

The notable point of this model is its imported origin, while the two competing models are assembled domestically.

Disadvantages:Due to the slightly curved design, tall people sitting in the back will feel like their heads are hitting the ceiling. The thin body shell makes the sound insulation quite poor. The car is also the lightest in the segment, so it is not safe to drive fast.
