3 men in Nghe An were fined more than 100 million VND for violating alcohol concentration

With alcohol test results far exceeding the 0.4 milligram/liter mark, three men in Nghe An were each fined 35 million VND.

On May 27, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh signed Decisions to sanction administrative violations in the field of road and railway traffic against Mr. BTT (born in 1985), residing in Nghi Duc commune, Vinh city; Mr. PXS (born in 1991), residing in Tan Xuan commune, Tan Ky district; Mr. HVH (born in 1993), residing in Quynh My commune, Quynh Luu district.

The penalty decision stated that Mr. BTT drove a car with license plate 37K-068.xx on the road with a breath alcohol concentration exceeding 0.4 milligrams/liter of breath (test result 0.891 milligrams/liter of breath), and did not carry a driver's license.

Mr. PXS drove a car with license plate 37C-316.xx on the road with a breath alcohol concentration exceeding 0.4 milligrams/liter of breath (test result 0.406 milligrams/liter of breath).

Mr. HVH drove a car with license plate 37A-794xx on the road with a breath alcohol concentration exceeding 0.4 milligrams/liter of breath (test result 0.522 milligrams/liter of breath);

Accordingly, each violation will be fined VND 35 million, as stipulated in Point a, Clause 10, Article 5 of Decree No. 100/2019/ND-CP dated December 30, 2019 of the Government; Clause 4, Article 23 of the Law on Handling of Administrative Violations (amended and supplemented in 2020). At the same time, the right to use a Class B2 car driving license will be revoked for a period of 23 months.

In addition, Mr. BTT was also fined 300,000 VND for not carrying a driver's license.
