3 pig organs eating too much will be harmful to health
Limit eating pig liver, lungs and intestines to avoid bacterial contamination and heavy metals that are harmful to health.
Pork dishes bring many health benefits, providing protein and fat. In particular, pork contains many vitamins and some minerals such as calcium, potassium, iron in an easily absorbed form.
However, not all parts of the pig are good to eat a lot.

Liver
Dr. Nguyen Thuy Linh, Department of Nutrition, Hanoi Medical University, said that the liver is the detoxifying organ of pigs. Most substances that pass through the liver will be decomposed by the liver, but there are many heavy metals and growth stimulants that pigs inhale or eat that the liver cannot decompose. When they do, they will remain, causing harm to human health.
In addition, eating too much liver also increases cholesterol levels, which can easily cause cardiovascular problems in old age. Therefore, you should not eat pork liver regularly. If you eat it, you need to prepare it carefully by soaking it in salt water, squeezing it clean and eating it cooked.
Lung
Pigs are animals that live close to the ground and regularly inhale large amounts of dust, dirt, sand, and heavy metals. Therefore, when we eat pig lungs, these dust and metal dust will enter our bodies and harm our health.
In addition, pigs often breathe close to the ground, inhaling many parasites, diseases and viruses into their lungs. When processing, we cannot clean them.
Therefore, careful consideration should be given before using pig lungs as food.
Pig intestines
According to Dr. Le Thi Hai, National Institute of Nutrition, pig intestines contain a lot of cholesterol, causing many problems for people with diabetes, cardiovascular or metabolic diseases. Eating a lot of pig intestines can also cause gout, fatty liver, pancreatitis, and increase blood fat.
"Many facilities that process animal organs are unsanitary and contaminated with many types of worms, bacteria, and viruses that are harmful to humans," said Dr. Hai. People who eat poor quality, spoiled, or discolored animal organs are very susceptible to parasitic infections.
In addition, the use of chemicals to deodorize and whiten pig intestines increases the risk of chemical accumulation in the body of the eater. Therefore, if you want to eat pig intestines, it is best to buy them and clean them yourself or choose reputable, trustworthy establishments.
How to prepare meat safely
Wash your hands before and after cooking. Do not eat raw or undercooked pork. Eat immediately after cooking to avoid leaving it out for too long, which can create conditions for bacteria to grow.
Cooked food should not be placed next to raw food or preparation utensils. Utensils such as knives and cutting boards should be washed before preparing other foods.
When buying meat, you need to cut the meat along the grain and observe. If the meat has white spots as big as a pinhead, or the meat has a fibrous or large oval shape, it is infected with worms. You can also tell by touching the meat. A piece of pork that is hard, has no elasticity, is not soft... is very likely to have been soaked in urea or contains borax.
